YomiChat Privacy Policy

YomiChat (“the Application”) is a Windows desktop application that helps users read Japanese text in YouTube Live Chat by displaying furigana (reading guides) for Japanese kanji. This policy explains what information YomiChat accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, how long it is retained, and how users can revoke access or delete local data.

1. Use of YouTube API Services

YomiChat uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API, only to identify the signed-in user's active live stream and receive the associated YouTube Live Chat.

By using YouTube-related features in YomiChat, users are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.

YomiChat's use of information received from Google APIs is also subject to Google's privacy practices. The Google Privacy Policy is available at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy (Google currently serves its Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy).

2. Information accessed through YouTube and Google

YomiChat requests the youtube.readonly OAuth scope. It does not intentionally request access to the user's email address, Google Drive files, or unrelated Google services.

YouTube Live Chat message text and the message author's display name

Purpose

Display incoming Live Chat messages and generate furigana for Japanese text on the user's computer.

Storage / retention

Handled only in memory during the active session. YomiChat does not keep a persistent chat archive. The data is cleared when the broadcast or connection ends, or when the application exits.

Active broadcast and Live Chat connection information, including identifiers and retrieval state needed to locate and continue the active chat (for example, video/live-chat IDs and page tokens)

Purpose

Locate the active broadcast, connect to its Live Chat, and continue retrieving new messages.

Storage / retention

Handled only in memory while the connection is active. The identifiers and retrieval state are cleared when the broadcast or connection ends, or when the application exits.

Google OAuth authorization credentials (access/refresh authorization information)

Purpose

Keep the user's authorized connection to YouTube API Services active.

Storage / retention

Stored locally for the signed-in Windows user and protected with Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). It is kept only while needed for the authorized connection and removed when the user disconnects Google from YomiChat.

OAuth authorization credentials are handled separately from Live Chat content. They are not used as advertising identifiers or for behavioral profiling.

3. How information is used

YouTube API Data is used only to provide YomiChat's user-facing functionality: identifying the active live stream, receiving Live Chat messages, displaying those messages in the local YomiChat/OBS interface, and generating Japanese reading guides locally on the user's computer.

YomiChat does not use YouTube API Data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or data brokerage.

4. Storage, refresh, and retention

YomiChat does not maintain a persistent database or disk cache of YouTube Live Chat messages or YouTube API response content, and it does not maintain a developer-side historical archive of that content. Live data and connection state are obtained and used for the active connection rather than being retained as a substitute for refreshing live information.

When a broadcast ends, the YouTube connection is disconnected, or the application exits, the relevant in-memory chat, overlay, broadcast/live-chat identifier, and pagination state is discarded.

Application settings and user-created pronunciation dictionary entries may be stored locally on the user's computer. These are application data and are not a stored copy of YouTube Live Chat history.

YomiChat diagnostic logs used for troubleshooting may be stored locally on the user's device. When YomiChat runs, log entries older than 30 days are removed. The current logging design does not intentionally write YouTube Live Chat message content, OAuth access/refresh tokens, authorization headers, or full YouTube API response payloads to diagnostic logs.

OAuth authorization credentials required to maintain the user's Google connection are stored locally using Windows DPAPI and are treated separately from transient YouTube Live Chat data.

5. Developer servers and sharing

The current YomiChat application does not operate a developer-controlled service that receives or stores users' YouTube Live Chat messages or Google OAuth credentials. Those items remain on the user's computer except for the communications with Google/YouTube that are necessary to use YouTube API Services.

The YomiChat developer does not sell, rent, or provide Google or YouTube user data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.

6. Device storage, cookies, and similar technologies

The YomiChat Windows desktop application does not use an embedded browser/WebView for Google authentication and does not itself place or read browser cookies. Google authentication is performed through Google's authentication service in the user's external browser. Google may use cookies or similar technologies as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

YomiChat stores certain application information directly on the user's Windows device, including application settings, user-created dictionary entries, Windows-protected OAuth credentials, and diagnostic logs as described above.

The YomiChat website uses browser local storage only to remember the language selected by the visitor. This preference is not used by YomiChat for advertising or behavioral profiling.

7. Revoking access and deleting data

Users can disconnect their Google account from within YomiChat. The Google Disconnect function requests revocation of the Google authorization, removes the locally stored Windows-protected OAuth credential, terminates the YouTube connection, and clears the related in-memory YouTube session state.

Users can also review or revoke Google permissions at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions or through Google Account connections.

Temporary Live Chat data is not kept as a persistent YomiChat chat archive. Other YomiChat local data can be removed by deleting YomiChat's local application data from the user's Windows account. Users who need assistance with deletion may contact support@yomi-chat.com. Where the YouTube Developer Policies require deletion of developer-controlled user data, valid requests will be handled as soon as reasonably practicable and no later than seven calendar days.

8. Security

YomiChat uses reasonable technical measures, including Windows DPAPI for locally stored OAuth credentials, to protect authorization information. No storage or software system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when YomiChat functionality, data practices, or applicable platform policies change. The effective date shown above will be updated when material changes are published.

YomiChat（以下「本アプリ」）は、YouTubeライブチャット内の日本語の漢字にふりがなを表示し、読みやすくするWindows向けデスクトップアプリです。本ポリシーでは、本アプリがアクセスする情報、その利用目的、保存場所、保持期間、およびアクセス取り消し・ローカルデータ削除の方法を説明します。

1. YouTube API Services の利用

本アプリは、ログインしたユーザーの現在のライブ配信を特定し、そのYouTube Live Chatを取得するために必要な範囲で、YouTube Data APIを含むYouTube API Servicesを利用します。

YouTube関連機能を利用する場合、YouTube利用規約も適用されます。

Google APIから受け取る情報の取扱いにはGoogleのプライバシー方針も関係します。Googleプライバシーポリシーは http://www.google.com/policies/privacy で確認できます（現在のGoogle公式ページ：https://policies.google.com/privacy）。

2. YouTube / Googleを通じてアクセスする情報

本アプリは youtube.readonly OAuthスコープを要求します。ユーザーのメールアドレス、Google Driveファイル、その他無関係なGoogleサービスへのアクセスを意図的に要求しません。

YouTube Live Chatのメッセージ本文および投稿者の表示名

利用目的

受信したLive Chatメッセージを表示し、日本語テキストのふりがなをユーザーPC上で生成するために使用します。

保存・保持

アクティブなセッション中のみメモリ上で処理します。永続的なチャット履歴として保存せず、配信または接続の終了時、もしくはアプリ終了時に破棄します。

現在の配信およびLive Chat接続に必要な情報（配信/チャットを特定し継続取得するためのIDや取得状態。例：video/live-chat ID、page token）

利用目的

現在の配信を特定し、そのLive Chatに接続して新しいメッセージの取得を継続するために使用します。

保存・保持

接続が有効な間のみメモリ上で処理します。配信または接続の終了時、もしくはアプリ終了時に、識別子と取得状態を破棄します。

Google OAuth認証情報（access/refreshの認証情報）

利用目的

YouTube API Servicesへのユーザーの認証済み接続を維持するために使用します。

保存・保持

Windowsユーザー環境にローカル保存し、Windows Data Protection API（DPAPI）で保護します。認証済み接続に必要な間だけ保持し、YomiChatでGoogle接続を解除すると削除します。

OAuth認証情報はLive Chatコンテンツとは別に取り扱い、広告識別子や行動プロファイリングには使用しません。

3. 情報の利用目的

YouTube API Dataは、現在のライブ配信の特定、Live Chatの受信、ローカルのYomiChat/OBS画面への表示、およびユーザーPC上での日本語読み仮名生成という本アプリの機能提供にのみ使用します。

広告、行動プロファイリング、データ販売の目的では使用しません。

4. 保存・更新・保持

本アプリは、YouTube Live ChatメッセージやYouTube APIレスポンス内容の永続データベースまたはディスクキャッシュを保持せず、開発者側でその履歴アーカイブを維持しません。ライブ情報および接続状態はアクティブな接続のために取得・使用され、ライブ情報を更新する代わりに長期保存することはありません。

配信終了、YouTube接続解除、またはアプリ終了時には、チャット、オーバーレイ、配信/Live Chat識別子、ページネーション状態など関連するメモリ上の状態を破棄します。

アプリ設定およびユーザーが作成した読み辞書はユーザーPCにローカル保存される場合があります。これらはアプリ設定データであり、YouTube Live Chat履歴の保存コピーではありません。

トラブルシューティングのためのYomiChat診断ログは、ユーザー端末にローカル保存される場合があります。YomiChatの実行時に、30日より古いログエントリを削除します。現在のログ設計では、YouTube Live Chat本文、OAuthアクセストークン/リフレッシュトークン、Authorizationヘッダー、YouTube APIの完全なレスポンス本文を診断ログへ意図的に記録しません。

Google接続維持に必要なOAuth認証情報はWindows DPAPIでローカル保護され、一時的なLive Chatデータとは別に扱われます。

5. 開発者サーバーおよび第三者提供

現在のYomiChatアプリには、ユーザーのYouTube Live ChatメッセージまたはGoogle OAuth認証情報を受信・保存する開発者管理サーバーはありません。これらの情報は、YouTube API Services利用に必要なGoogle/YouTubeとの通信を除き、ユーザーPC上で処理されます。

Google/YouTubeのユーザーデータを広告主、データブローカー、その他第三者へ広告・プロファイリング目的で販売、貸与、提供しません。

6. 端末内保存、Cookieおよび類似技術

YomiChat WindowsデスクトップアプリはGoogle認証に組み込みブラウザ/WebViewを使用せず、アプリ自体がブラウザCookieを設定または読み取ることはありません。Google認証はユーザーの外部ブラウザでGoogleの認証サービスを通じて行われ、GoogleはGoogleプライバシーポリシーに従ってCookie等を利用する場合があります。

本アプリは、アプリ設定、ユーザー作成辞書、Windowsで保護されたOAuth認証情報、上記の診断ログ等をユーザーのWindows端末に直接保存する場合があります。

YomiChatウェブサイトでは、訪問者が選択した表示言語を記憶する目的に限り、ブラウザのlocal storageを使用します。この設定値を広告や行動プロファイリングに使用しません。

7. アクセス取り消しとデータ削除

ユーザーはYomiChat内でGoogle接続を解除できます。Google Disconnect機能はGoogle認証のrevokeを要求し、Windowsで保護されたローカルOAuth認証情報を削除し、YouTube接続を終了し、関連するメモリ上のYouTubeセッション状態を消去します。

Google権限は https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions または Googleアカウントの接続管理から確認・取り消しできます。

一時的なLive Chatデータは永続的なYomiChatチャット履歴として保持されません。その他のYomiChatローカルデータは、WindowsユーザーアカウントからYomiChatのローカルアプリデータを削除することで除去できます。削除に関するサポートが必要な場合は support@yomi-chat.com までご連絡ください。YouTube Developer Policiesにより開発者管理データの削除が必要となる有効な依頼については、合理的に可能な限り速やかに、必要な場合は7暦日以内に処理します。

8. セキュリティ

ローカルOAuth認証情報の保護にWindows DPAPIを使用するなど、合理的な技術的対策を講じます。ただし、完全な安全性を保証できる保存・ソフトウェアシステムはありません。

9. 本ポリシーの変更

YomiChatの機能、データ取扱い、または適用されるプラットフォームポリシーが変更された場合、本ポリシーを更新することがあります。重要な変更を公開した場合は、上記施行日を更新します。

YomiChat(이하 “앱”)은 YouTube 라이브 채팅의 일본어 한자에 후리가나(읽기)를 표시하여 읽기 쉽게 만드는 Windows 데스크톱 앱입니다. 본 방침은 YomiChat이 어떤 정보에 접근하는지, 해당 정보를 어떻게 사용하는지, 어디에 저장하고 얼마나 보관하는지, 그리고 사용자가 접근 권한을 철회하거나 로컬 데이터를 삭제하는 방법을 설명합니다.

1. YouTube API Services 사용

YomiChat은 로그인한 사용자의 현재 라이브 스트림을 식별하고 해당 YouTube Live Chat을 받는 데 필요한 범위에서 YouTube Data API를 포함한 YouTube API Services를 사용합니다.

YouTube 관련 기능을 사용하는 경우 YouTube 서비스 약관도 적용됩니다.

Google API를 통해 받은 정보의 처리에는 Google의 개인정보 보호 관행도 관련됩니다. Google 개인정보처리방침은 http://www.google.com/policies/privacy에서 확인할 수 있으며, 현재 Google 공식 페이지는 https://policies.google.com/privacy입니다.

2. YouTube 및 Google을 통해 접근하는 정보

방송이 종료되거나 YouTube 연결을 해제하거나 앱을 종료하면 관련 채팅, 오버레이, 방송/Live Chat 식별자 및 페이지네이션 상태를 메모리에서 삭제합니다.

앱 설정과 사용자가 만든 발음/읽기 사전은 사용자 PC에 로컬 저장될 수 있습니다. 이는 앱 설정 데이터이며 YouTube Live Chat 기록의 저장본이 아닙니다.

문제 해결을 위한 YomiChat 진단 로그는 사용자 기기에 로컬로 저장될 수 있습니다. YomiChat 실행 시 30일이 지난 로그 항목을 삭제합니다. 현재 로깅 설계는 YouTube Live Chat 메시지 내용, OAuth 액세스/리프레시 토큰, Authorization 헤더 또는 YouTube API 전체 응답 본문을 진단 로그에 의도적으로 기록하지 않습니다.

5. 개발자 서버 및 제3자 제공

현재 YomiChat 앱에는 사용자의 YouTube Live Chat 메시지 또는 Google OAuth 인증 정보를 수신하거나 저장하는 개발자 관리 서버가 없습니다. 이러한 정보는 YouTube API Services 사용에 필요한 Google/YouTube와의 통신을 제외하면 사용자 PC에서 처리됩니다.

YomiChat 개발자는 Google 또는 YouTube 사용자 데이터를 광고주, 데이터 브로커 또는 기타 제3자에게 광고·프로파일링 목적으로 판매, 임대 또는 제공하지 않습니다.

6. 기기 내 저장, 쿠키 및 유사 기술

YomiChat Windows 데스크톱 앱은 Google 인증에 내장 브라우저/WebView를 사용하지 않으며 앱 자체가 브라우저 쿠키를 설정하거나 읽지 않습니다. Google 인증은 사용자의 외부 브라우저에서 Google 인증 서비스를 통해 수행되며, Google은 Google 개인정보처리방침에 따라 쿠키 또는 유사 기술을 사용할 수 있습니다.

YomiChat은 앱 설정, 사용자가 만든 사전, Windows로 보호된 OAuth 인증 정보 및 위에서 설명한 진단 로그 등의 앱 정보를 사용자의 Windows 기기에 직접 저장할 수 있습니다.

YomiChat 웹사이트는 방문자가 선택한 표시 언어를 기억하기 위한 목적으로만 브라우저 local storage를 사용합니다. 이 설정값은 광고 또는 행동 프로파일링에 사용하지 않습니다.

7. 접근 권한 철회 및 데이터 삭제

사용자는 YomiChat 내부에서 Google 계정 연결을 해제할 수 있습니다. Google Disconnect 기능은 Google 인증 철회를 요청하고, Windows로 보호된 로컬 OAuth 인증 정보를 삭제하고, YouTube 연결을 종료하며, 관련 메모리의 YouTube 세션 상태를 삭제합니다.

또한 https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions 또는 Google 계정 연결 관리에서 Google 권한을 확인하거나 철회할 수 있습니다.

일시적인 Live Chat 데이터는 영구 YomiChat 채팅 기록으로 보관하지 않습니다. 그 밖의 YomiChat 로컬 데이터는 사용자의 Windows 계정에서 YomiChat 로컬 앱 데이터를 삭제하여 제거할 수 있습니다. 삭제 지원이 필요한 경우 support@yomi-chat.com으로 문의할 수 있습니다. YouTube Developer Policies에 따라 개발자가 관리하는 사용자 데이터의 삭제가 필요한 유효한 요청은 합리적으로 가능한 한 신속하게 처리하며, 요구되는 경우 7일 이내에 처리합니다.

8. 보안

로컬 OAuth 인증 정보 보호를 위해 Windows DPAPI를 사용하는 등 합리적인 기술적 조치를 적용합니다. 다만 어떠한 저장 또는 소프트웨어 시스템도 절대적인 보안을 보장할 수 없습니다.

9. 방침 변경

YomiChat 기능, 데이터 처리 방식 또는 적용되는 플랫폼 정책이 변경되는 경우 본 방침을 업데이트할 수 있습니다. 중요한 변경 사항을 공개할 때에는 위 시행일을 갱신합니다.
